I Thessalonians 2:8

“We cared so much for you that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.”

‭‭Paul, Silas, and Timothy shared the life, death and resurrection of Jesus – but they also shared their own lives with these new believers. Although their ministry with them wasn’t long, it was a personal investment like a passionate parent: 

I Thessalonians 2:7

“We were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.”

I Thessalonians 2:11-12

“Like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God.” 

Spiritual reproduction can also be referenced as ‘spiritual parenting’.
