Proverbs 1

Proverbs 1:10

My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.

So what is it to ‘entice’?

 – to attract someone to do something, by arousing hope, interest, or desire.

So what does Scripture offer me as the key to not giving in to those men who would look to entice me?

Proverbs 1:15

“My son, don’t travel that road with them or set foot on their path,”

Travel a different road.

Walk a different path.

It’s not the road and it’s not the path, it’s who is on the road and who is on the path

“The companion of fools will suffer harm” (13:20).

A companion is simply a traveling partner, a person who spends alot of time with another.

Heavenly Father, give me grace to be alert to whom I am spending my time and energy with and to adjust accordingly. In Jesus Name
