Proverbs 3

Proverbs 3:27

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.”

A godly man does the good that is in his power to do. This still takes intentionality but nothing extraordinary.

1. The first key is to ‘do it’, not just think about doing it. Only thinking is withholding.

2. The second key is ‘pace’ and to not wear out, doing a lot and then doing nothing:

Galatians 6:9

‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up’

3. The third key is to pause and to prioritize the ‘who’ that I am doing good for:

Galatians 6:10

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, but especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Prayer.

Heavenly Father, give me grace today to move from being a good man with good intentions to being a godly man who does good. In Jesus Name, Amen.
