“Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.”
The majority of this chapter describes an excellent wife, a woman of character who is capable and diligent.
Her husband clearly trusts in her and thus has ‘full confidence’ in her. He sets her up for success by not micro managing her tasks but rather releasing her to entrepreneurial ventures and fruitful ministry.
His intentional and public praise fuels her ongoing excellence:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
The full confidence that this man displays in his wife is certainly in part a result of his full confidence in the God in whom she serves, for he declares that:
“A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful design of marriage. I thank You and praise You for my sweet wife of over thirty years and for the many godly wives around me who are worthy of praise. In Jesus Name, Amen.
