The great hymn, ‘Rise Up O Men of God’, mirrors biblical exhortation. 

Mark 12:28-29 “He asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” Jesus answered is this; ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”

Heart – Proverbs 4:23 

Be careful to guard my heart with all vigilance.

Soul – Psalm 42:2 

Thirst for God, desire to go and meet with God. 

Mind – Psalm 1:2

Delight in God’s Word and meditate on it day & night.

Strength – Romans 12:1 

Offer my body daily as a living sacrifice.

‭‭If I am to rise up as a man of God and be done with the lesser things, I must keep growing and not plateau in my love for God. It must be a matter of – all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength.  

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me grace to rise up and be this man of God today and every day. In Jesus Name.  Amen
