Telling their story of courage…

Acts 4:23

“As soon as they were set free, Peter and John returned to the other believers and they told them what the leading priests and elders had said.”

Peter and John immediately shared with the people of God their full story. They were on their way to prayer and here’s what happened! Courageous living leads to ‘stories’ that we get to share with others and it is this sharing with others that fuels all of our faith and results in praise to God…

Acts 4:24

 “When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in praise to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them…”

When the people of God hear about the works of God as a result of the courage of the men of God – they lifted their voices in praise and prayer to God. 

They were not praising Peter and John for being ‘ordinary and unschooled’ men who had displayed such extraordinary courage. Rather, the people of God together gave praise to God 

God inspired courage will result in God inspired praise  

Prayer 

Heavenly Father, I praise You for how You used these two ordinary men and how You gave to them such extraordinary courage. Now fuel my faith and build my courage today to live for You and may You alone receive the praise!
