We continue to dig into I Corinthians 13:11; “When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put aside childish things.”

Question: When does a boy become a man? Answer: When he ‘puts aside’ childish things. 

The Greek word for put aside is ‘katageo’ and means to render inoperative. It is a combination of two action verbs, ‘kata’ and ‘argeo’ and means to become entirely idle. 

Childish ways have not disappeared, but they are no longer engaged.
