Numbers 16:12-13 tells us: “Moses sent for Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they said, “We will not come! Is it not enough that you brought us up from a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness? Do you also have to appoint yourself as ruler over us?”

Korah, Dathan and Abiram were mad at Moses – their ‘spiritual leader’. But really they were mad at God who had appointed Moses and who was speaking to and through Moses.

Numbers 16:19-21 tells us: “After Korah assembled the whole community against them at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community. The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Separate yourselves from this community so I may consume them instantly.”

The Lord is ready to wipe out the entire community because together they are following the bad example of Korah and are rebelling against the spiritual leadership that He had appointed to lead and shepherd them.

How easy is it for me to join others with a bad attitude?
