Genesis 40:23

“Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.”

Joseph interpreted the dreams of the baker and cupbearer. He asked the cupbearer: v 14 “But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.”

Ha. But the cupbearer ‘forgot him’. 

Joseph might be wondering if God is truly in control as people continue to do him wrong – in this case the cupbearer. *But God is in control both then and now…

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
